On one of my recent trips to Sephora I was checking out and my 2 year old daughter grabbed a nail polish.  She handed it to me while I was saying “No, we don’t need that.”  Then… “Wait.. this is pretty.”  Obviously we did need it and bought it.  I don’t know whether to be proud or scared.

Anyway, the shade happened to be one of the latest from Sephora by OPI called I Found a Pot of Gold!

What the Sephora website has to say about Sephora by OPI Nail Colour:

What it is:
Fashion-forward, wearable nail colors for the modern woman who is looking for an effective, safe, environmentally conscious brand.

What it does:
Sephora by OPI Nail Colour, a line of 54+ trend-setting shades, puts the final touch on fingertips and toes with a top-quality formula you have come to expect from OPI. The long-lasting, chip-resistant polish ensures flawless results with each application, and its green ingredient list excludes DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde.

What else you need to know:
Sephora by OPI combines the quality and color expertise of OPI, the world leader in professional nail color, with Sephora’s reputation for the latest in beauty and sophistication.

Size: 0.5 oz

I Found a Pot of Gold! (clear with fine gold and diamond-shaped holographic glitter) is shown above on top of Zoya Adina, which I thought made a lovely combination.  The golden glitters gave a nice dust of shimmer to the flashy duochrome.

While I’m aware that this polish IS considered a Top Coat, I was a little disappointed in the fact that the larger flakes were seemingly more rare than what the bottle advertised.

Overall, if you’re just looking for a stunning gold glitter top coat, I Found a Pot of Gold! is for you.  If you’re like me and wanted something with a little more wow factor, it’s okay to pass on.  From looking at the website, Looks Like Rain Dear would have been a more suitable choice for what I normally look for.  In my daughters defense, she couldn’t reach that high up, so maybe when she’s taller … ;)

Sephora by OPI Nail Colour retail for $9.50 each and are available at Sephora.

  1. I love this polish! I had the same reaction when I saw it online. It’s tough to get some of the diamond pieces out but when you do it’s a magical looking mani :)
