Essence WHERE IS THE PARTY Nail Polish Swatches and Review

I’ve had Essence Where is the Party Nail Polish in my stash for awhile.  I believe Danielle sent it with the Tarte products I won in her giveaway.  I hadn’t swatched it yet because I’ve never tried this brand before and I’m like an old lady…. reluctant to try new things (though I don’t know why, because I normally LOVE it when I try something new!).

A few days ago I swatched Butter London Knackered, and it was a beautiful polish, but unfortunately rather sheer.  As I was looking for something to layer it with my gaze fell on my untrieds box… Essence Where is the Party looked perfect!!!

Where is the Party is a deep purple and green duochrome.  I used two coats for the swatch photo, but would have gone for three had I not been layering.  You can’t tell from the photo but the formula is slightly streaky, though less noticeable when you add on your top coat.

The bottles are on the smaller side, but the price is right (I believe they’re $0.99!).  Essence is a European brand, but you can pick this up locally at Ulta.  Mine never has a decent selection.  Hopefully yours is better!!!

Now for the layering!!!  Butter London Knackered looked phenomenal over Where is the Party.  It’s like they’re a match made in heaven.  It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the effect is totally cosmic.  I wish Knackered would have looked like this on it’s own, but the Essence is so cheap it doesn’t make much of a difference.

Ahhh I’ve been looking for a review of this polish. I got a bottle of it recently and was kinda curious what someone else thought of it. It’s one of the strangest polishes I’ve ever bought, but it sure is fun! I loved the way you used it with a glittery polish over the top, that is such a great idea. I adore Essence polishes btw, they are cheap, cheerful, and last just as well as other brands I’ve tried. :-)

Ooh wow, so I thought I liked Victoriana better than Knackered, but after seeing this combination…maybe not!

Besides their nail art products, I really love their brushes. They are starting to lauch them, they have travel size but they are synthetic and they are really soft x3
