Okay, so I went on a bit of a Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick buying bender.  Sephora finally had them in stock so I could swatch the Sephora exclusives and other shades.  Can you believe some were even sold out already?!  These lippies are on fire!

I managed to narrow my choices down to five – Saint Tropez 336, Pink Icon 366, Riviera 639, Silhouette 339, and Sunset Boulevard 829

What the Sephora website has to say about Addict Extreme Lipstick:

What it is:
An extremely long-wearing lipstick that provides radiant shine.

What it does:
This long-wearing lipstick goes the distance, resisting fading while adding bold color and beautiful shine. The expert formula combines waxes, radiant oils, and hyaluronic microspheres for ultimate comfort and a lip-plumping effect.

Size: 0.12 oz

(top to bottom: Saint Tropez, Pink Icon, Riviera, Silhouette, Sunset Boulevard)

(L-R: Saint Tropez, Pink Icon, Riviera, Silhouette, Sunset Boulevard)

Saint Tropez

Saint Tropez is a sheer, milky peachy pink tint.  This is a Sephora exclusive shade.

Pink Icon

Pink Icon is a sheer candy pink.  Actually a little less pink than I thought it would be, but still very pretty.  This is a Sephora exclusive shade.

Riviera

Riviera is a a sheer coral, perfect for those hot beachy days.

Silhouette

Silhouette is a pinky nude, excellent for every day use with any look.

Sunset Boulevard

Sunset Boulevard is a sheer berry shade.  This one applied unevenly, but was easily fixed by some serious smushing together of the lips.  The shade combined with this formula is a great way to wear a vampy color in the Summer months.

The formula is moisturizing, and when layered offers a nice pigment.  It really does give the appearance of plumping.

I didn’t find this lipstick to be any more long-wearing than a regular lustre type of lipstick, but even after the moisture was fading (a few hours) and the color was starting to dull, I still had some pigment to my lips.

Out of all of the lipsticks from Dior I’ve tried (and loved!) Addict Extreme is my favorite, basically because it’s the most “me”.  I love a light and smooth lip, even when wearing bold colors, it should be light.  I’m not always comfortable with thick or deep lips, so a formula like this makes all shades wearable.

The outer packaging is gorgeously sleek, and I find it much more appealing in the blue casing over the silver of the other Addict Lipsticks.

Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick retails for $30.00 and is available at Sephora, Nordstrom and Dior.com.  Please see the Official Press Release for more information.

  1. I would love to see a post about these going head to head with the Revlon Lip Butters. I suspect their formula may be thicker, but I do wonder if they are good bargain version. You totally make me want to go out and spend $30 I don’t have on a lipstick. LOL

    • the Revlon are actually the PERFECT drugstore version. If you’re thinking of a particular shade, let me know and perhaps I can help you find it!

  2. Oh no!! I already got Lucky based on your review… I can see 2 more I want, Riveria & Sunset Boulevard… You do such a good job swatching these. Thanks for posting :)

  3. you have more than I do!! I feel better now. All the colors are so pretty, I have to get two or three at a time! I think I’ve only got six but I’m going to Nordstrom saturday. uh oh!

    • you’ll need to pick up more! lol I wrote the remaining ones I don’t have down so I can get them. They now have their own drawer… I’m so out of space!

  4. You have such excellent swatches! Thank you so much!

I got my original Incognito based on them from the airport (actually my poor husband). Now I’m totally torn between Pink Icon and Silhouette. With my dark hair, pale skin and grey eyes Pink Icon sounds more logical.

  5. What a great blog site you have! I’m glad to have discovered it. Thank you for the very helpful swatches. I got my first Addict Extreme (#667, Avenue) from a Dior artist at Sephora. I really like it, although I wouldn’t say the formula is that ‘long wearing’. But it does feel good on. I was contemplating getting the Saint Tropez and after seeing your sample pics, I think I will give it a go!

    • Thank you!
They are addicting! You’ll get Saint Tropez and decide you need more, just wait lol
