It’s evident that NARS knows how to make us drool. We’ve seen the artistry involved with the Andy Warhol collection, as well as the inspirations behind all of the seasonal launches. Now, in celebration of Fashion’s Night Out 2012, two new additions join the 413 Blkr line – a Velvet Matte Lip Pencil and an Eye Shadow Duo.
What the NARS website has to say about 413 Blkr Velvet Matte Lip Pencil:
In celebration of Fashion’s Night Out, NARS debuts two new additions to the 413 BLKR collection in the powerfully provocative spirit of Guy Bourdin.
The application of a lipstick combined with the convenience of a pencil in a jumbo crayon design. Lips are instantly saturated with rich pigments and a velvety matte finish. The long lasting, non-drying formula is enriched with emollients for a creamy texture, while a combination of unique silicones ensures long-lasting, seamless color for hours. Use for lining, all-over lip color, or pairing with another lip product.
- Rich, vivid shades
- Enriched with Vitamin E
- Convenient, easy application
413 Blkr is described as a peachy pink with golden shimmer. It’s fuchsia. I don’t see the pink or the golden shimmer in this one anywhere. The pencil glides on smoothly, is rich in pigment and isn’t extremely drying like you’d imagine a matte lip product would be. I love to use these pencils as a base for my favorite gloss.
413 Blkr Velvet Matte Lip Pencil ($24.00) joins a stunning line of products named for the brand’s West Village flagship boutique. I’ve reviewed all of these products but the eye shadow single, which is on my list of lemmings! Quick links to products – Larger Than Life Lip Gloss, Pure Matte Lipstick, Eye Shadow Duo. Also, a look back at Fashion’s Night Out 2011.
