So, I feel like a post regarding one of my favorite every day mascaras is a long time coming.  For drama I like to use Chanel Le Volume, but for every day eye looks 9 times out of 10 I’m reaching for MAC Plushlash.  And it’s been that way since it released years ago.

052What the MAC website has to say about Plushlash Mascara:

Plumps, curls and volumizes. Builds thickness smoothly and evenly, delivering a full fan of lashes. Rich, hydrating formula. No smudging or clumping. A patented brush wraps lashes one luxurious layer at a time for immediate, intense drama.

9 g / 0.31 US oz

053 067 068(the eye look used above can be found here)

Plushlash has always worked best for me in terms of separating (which my lashes seem to have a hard time doing), curling, lengthening and thickening.  I like the thick brush and sometimes only need one coat to achieve the results I’m after.  This mascara is truly an HG and I always have a back-up on hand!

MAC Plushlash Mascara retails for $16.00 and can be purchased at your local MAC counter (try Nordstrom) or store, as well as online at maccosmetics.com.

  1. […] For the EOTD I started off with a layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion.  Taking a firm brush I applied Fantasy all over the lid and into the crease a bit, leaving the inner corner bare.  Above Fantasy I blended Fate and then put a dab of Cursed in the outer V.  At the inner corners of the eye I applied Secret and also used this to highlight.  I dabbed a bit of Cursed under the outer part of the lower lid, then, using the same brush, applied Supernatural at the inner part of the lower lid.  To finish I lined with the included liner and added two coats of MAC Plushlash Mascara. 2. […] To get this look, just start your liner at the very outer tip of the top lashes and create your shape.  Bring down the liner and end underneath the lower lashes, leaving space for some shadow.  The shadows used in this look are all from the Le Metier de Beaute Melange Palette charcoal black on the lid, silver right above the upper and right below the lower lashes, gold in the crease and blended up.  The liners used are NARS Carpates & Atlantic and the mascara is MAC Plushlash. 3. […] Below, for the EOTD, I primed the eye with Urban Decay Primer Potion.  The warm antique gold is all over the lid, the chocolate bronze in the crease and outer V, the bright bronze gold at the inner corners and to blend out the crease and the soft peach was used for the brow bone/highlight.  The outer third of the lower lash line also has some of the chocolate bronze underneath.  For liners I used MAC Teddy Eye Kohl on the top and MAC Powersurge Eye Kohl on the bottom.  The mascara is MAC Plushlash. 4. […] For this EOTD I began with a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion.  The tanned bronze shade is all over the lid while the antique gold shade is in the crease.  The beige shade is at the inner corners of the eye and to highlight.  The grey blue shade is in the outer V.  I used the black shade as a top liner and Neutrogena Twilight Blue Nourishing Eye Liner as a bottom liner.  The mascara is MAC Plushlash. 5. […] For this festive St. Paddy’s Day EOTD I began by using Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Eye Shadow Stick in Sand Dune as my base.  Then I reached for my March Glam Bag and applied yaby Sand Dune from lash to brow and yaby So Vain in the crease, blending up.  The golden liner is MAC Powersurge Kohl, which was used on the lower lash line as well as above the Sephora + Pantone Universe Graphic Lift Liquid Eyeliner in Emerald.  The mascara is MAC Plushlash. 6. […] For the EOTD I applied a thin layer of UDPP for a base.  Taking a firm eye shadow brush I applied Splendid from brow to crease, then placed Carpet on the lid and blended up through the crease and above into Splendid.  I then took Wonder by Wonder and put it into the crease and blended up and also placed this color in the outer V.  The top liner is Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in 11L and the bottom liner is MAC Powersurge Eye Kohl.  Under Powersurge I used an angled brush to apply a streak of Diamond Sky.  The mascara is MAC Plushlash.
