I’ve been so excited to share this NARS Duo Eyeshadow with you!  When I first saw Mad Mad World ($34.00) from the Spring 2013 Color Collection I was more intimidated than anything.  But when manipulated the right way you can come off looking magical like a mermaid!  In a good way!  Or, of course, use the shades separately to amp up any other look you might want to do.

003 004 005 006 007Mad Mad World is a bold duo of cyan and parakeet green.  Do not be afraid!  This is totally useable!  Alone, the shades are pigmented and blendable, but chalky.  Where this duo REALLY shines is over top of a colored base.

This first eye look just shows the duo used on it’s own over UDPP.  The green is over the lid and the cyan is at the outer third of the eye.  The liner is NARS Koala Eyeliner Stylo and the mascara is Chanel Le Volume.

008For this EOTD I began with a thin layer of UDPP.  Next I took the NARS Corcovado Soft Touch Shadow Pencil and blended it out over the eye and through the crease.  I placed the green side over the lid and the cyan side at the outer half of the lid and blended through the crease.  Using my finger I took a bit more of Corcovado and dabbed it at the inner corner of the eye and then lined a bit underneath.  The liner is NARS Koala Eyeliner Stylo and the mascara is Chanel Le Volume.

009010Clearly, this isn’t going to be the most wearable for every event, and certainly not for work, but it’s completely STUNNING for special occasions!

For more information on this collection, please see the Official Press Release.

The NARS 2013 Spring Collection is available beginning January 15th at narscosmetics.com.  You’ll also be able to find this soon at Sephora.

    • You can do it! At first I was terrified to even try to do it, but now I’m more comfortable and it’s fun! Phyrra is definitely the queen, though!

    • I’ll tell you what, sometimes I look at the duos and I’m like “no way does that work” but it always just DOES. He knows his stuff!
