Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean you need to stop looking your best.  Valentine’s Day is coming up and you can use the tips below (click pic to enlarge) from Amy Oresman to perfect your look for the occasion!

All of the products mentioned are from Neutrogena and are seriously a makeup lovers best friend.  Multiply that times 100 if you’re a mom.

Pattern-Big-7These products will make your makeup wear better, brighten your eyes and soften your lips, respectively.

The Healthy Skin Primer ($12.99) has a slight tint of color but goes on sheer.  The formula is a little thin, so be aware of how much you’re squeezing out, as you won’t need much.  It doesn’t provide coverage but will be an excellent base for your foundation and/or powder.  The Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector ($11.99, shown in Fair & Medium, scroll down for swatches) brightens and conceals to make you appear more alive and awake.  I’m being serious when I say I like this more than high-end eye brighteners that I’ve tried and rarely use.  I immediately put the Fair shade into my daily makeup bag.  It does what it says it will, blends well and stays the day without caking.

013For the eyes, Healthy Volume Mascara ($7.49, shown below in Carbon Black) and Nourishing Eye Liner ($7.49, shown below in Brushed Pewter).  The mascara is very natural and lengthening.  It almost appears feathery light.  The applicator is pretty large so you have to be careful.  The eye liner is the perfect every day shade for when you want to wear black liner, but don’t want it to look harsh.  It features a great smudger on one end and a small sharpener to keep the liner tip at a point.  In the eye look below I have the liner on heavy and smudged out quite a bit.

017 0232013-01-07Finally, the Revitalizing Lip Balms ($8.99, shown above in Petal Glow and Sheer Shimmer).  These are great because they moisten the lips but don’t over-saturate them.  Both colors are sheer, but lips will come off supple and fresh.

008What are your favorite essentials for a flawless holiday look?

  1. […] For this EOTD I started out with my primer of choice, Urban Decay Primer Potion.  Taking the L’Oreal Temptress’ Gaze Quad I applied the Bronze shade all over the eye lid except for at the inner corners where I applied the golden copper.  The green shade is in the crease and blended up, and then I also blended a bit more of the golden copper over that.  The deep brown shade was used to deepen the outer V.  I lined top and bottom with the Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES in Emerald and then smudged more of the green shadow underneath that.  The mascara used is Neutrogena Healthy Volume. 2. […] In this EOTD, after applying UDPP,I used the top right pink shade all over the lid and the top left pink shade in the crease.  I used the bottom left peachy shade to highlight and the bottom right grey shade in the outer V.  I took the middle white shade and dabbed it at the inner corners of the eye.  The liner is Chanel Gris Scintillant Le Crayon Yeux and the mascara is Neutrogena Healthy Volume.
