The MAC x Archie’s Girls Collection has had makeup and comic book lovers alike buzzing away about the hype as long as six months ago. The collection has recently released and has two sides - Betty and Veronica – to suit just about every makeup lovers style.
Each side of the launch has a limited edition Eye Shadow x4. Veronica has Spoiled Rich and Betty has Caramel Sundae, which is the quad we’ll be focusing on for this post.
What the MAC website says about Cream Soda Eye Shadow x4:
An Eye Shadow Quad in four shades: Caramel Sundae, Cheryl Chic, Dreammaker and Showstopper. The highly pigmented powder formula applies evenly, blends and builds beautifully. Limited-edition Archie’s Girls packaging.
5.6 g / 0.19 US oz
- Cheryl Chic (light coral pink; frost)
- Dreammaker (pale frosty yellow; frost)
- Caramel Sundae (mid-tone warm tan; satin)
- Showstopper (dark, cool-toned brown; matte)
These shades swatch and apply a lot more buttery than those in the Veronica palette, and you’ll find the only shade that you may have a little bit of pigmentation issues on is Showstopper. Other than the look I did below, I’d also use Showstopper wet as a liner rather than in the outer V. Because it’s a matte it may work out better that way.
This quad is definitely the better of the two, and so wearable. I had no issues with blending or fall-out…. it’s a love for me.
For this EOTD I applied Dreammaker all over the lid, Caramel Sundae in the crease, Showstopper in the outer V and used Cheryl Chic to highlight and put at the inner corners of the eye. The eye liner is MAC Teddy Eye Kohl and the mascara is MAC Plushlash.
