Blogging Made Simple // Streamlining Life with the Intel 8th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor

As a full time blogger going on 9 years I use a computer for both business, free time, helping my kids with homework, gaming and other various projects. From time-to-time I also sell stickers in my etsy shop. My computer is the primary tool that I use for all of these things and a top notch processor is essential. When my computer is acting a fool, which is unfortunately common because of all of the tabs, apps and software I have open at any given time, performance benefits are lacking which makes me enter my happy place. I go there more often than I’d like to admit with that blank stare and a smile. You guys, when you go to the tech-land happy place more than your normal place you know it’s time to upgrade your computer.

Because of all of the different things that I need a computer for in this household I need one with an over-the-top processor. Just like everything else in my universe, the level needs to be “extra” and it needs to be instant. I do not have time (or energy) for a slow computer. Intel’s new 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processor is live, large and in charge to keep up with the speed of working mom-life so I can get everything done quickly, efficiently and safely with the built-in security. It’s also available in 2-in-1s and laptops, making it easy to work from anywhere and at any time (which is also very essential in my line of work).

Our home desktop isn’t that old but with everything going on in my blog-isphere right now I knew I needed some kind of upgrade. Preferably a portable one. The lag time I’m dealing with isn’t something a person like me who is very busy and has very little extra time, can handle. Our not-so-old desktop? It doesn’t even hold a candle to the Intel 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processor in our new Lenova Yoga 720 that we purchased at Best Buy.

There is a 40% performance jump between the 7th Gen and 8th Gen Intel Core and 2x better performance compared to a 5-year-old PC. The speed of this 2-in-1 touch-screen laptop is insane no matter if we’re checking email or streaming movies. My son has even been able to play games a lot more smoothly (his complaint with the older computer is a lag that would make him miss out on educational games that are timed). This processor can also stream 4K UHD videos and power virtual reality - which is what every kids lives for nowadays!

For me, I love that I can have a million (okay, maybe not that many… but a lot) tabs open at once and nothing suffers for it. As any blogger can tell you we have multiple sites open at all times for blog posts, photo editing, product research, emails, social media and more. It’s never ending in our work-day and as we power through it not many of those tabs get closed.

Because the Lenova Yoga 720 is so thin and lightweight I’m able to haul it anywhere and even enjoy streaming services like Netflix and Hulu for up to 10 hours without having to plug back in to recharge. Hi there, strong battery life! For me, I’m able to work on many things all at once and at a quicker pace which is streamlining the entire process of blogging. Oh, and these tabs can all stay open while my son plays his games without me worrying about crashes and losing work.

The entire house is also loving Windows Ink & 3D which allows you to create, edit and draw 3D images in photos, videos and presentations. Again, SO PERFECT for school. My son is headed into middle school next year, so this is something he’ll be using more and more! Plus, now that I know the Intel 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processor is so awesome I’ve taken on a new project and have volunteered to develop my sons 5th grade memory book for his school. Because of the power of this processor I know I can work on this project with ease in knowing the book will look amazing and my hard work won’t be lost. This project will entail developing layouts, editing a ton of photos and implementing graphics and text. Lag, weird shut-downs and wait time will not be an option.

With the added security features of the Intel 8th Gen Intel® Core™ processor we also felt safer doing our holiday shopping this year. Cyber crime just seems to be on the rise and this is definitely not the time to have any private info stolen or get stuck with a computer virus.
