Tory Burch 01 DIVINE Bronzer, Blush & Highlighter Palette Swatches, Review & FOTD

One of my favorite designer brands has now branched out to include cosmetics! This year Tory Burch has launched a small line of makeup and the product I’m sharing with you today was the number one item I needed to get my hands on - the Bronzer, Blush & Highlighter Palette in Divine!

What Nordstrom says about the Tory Burch Divine Bronzer, Blush & Highlighter Palette:

Tory Burch brings you the benefits of bronzer, blush and highlighter in one convenient palette. The three skin-brightening shades are pressed together so with a single sweep you can get the perfect healthy, sun-kissed glow. It’s lightly scented with hints of Tory’s signature fragrance, featuring notes of mandarin, tuberose and vetiver.

The box is a lovely burnt orange shade and subtly embossed.

The little burnt orange velvet pouch that houses this palette just may be one of my favorite things. The color isn’t your usual shade of black or navy, it stands out and folds over to snap with a button that is decorated with a gold Tory Burch emblem.

The casing is orange and gold with an intricate design around the palette that you may recognize from her fragrance. The palette itself isn’t big enough to allow the shades to be the size they’d need to be for you to get your cheek brush in there to use the separately. IMO it’s best all swirled together and blended.

Divine has five shades ranging from four varying shades of nude up to a pretty peach in the center. Below the shades are swatched dry over bare skin very heavily to show the color. I used my finger to swatch and as you can see the color starts out heavily at the top then sheers out rather quickly.

Below I have Divine on my cheeks, more heavily in the hollows. To get it to show up I really had to layer, but I like the demure & luminous effect it created. There is a slight shimmer to the powder but I don’t feel it’s too over the top. The formula did feel a little dry and for the price tag I’d like to see it be a little smoother with more pigment.

Those with my skin tone (MAC NW20-25/neutral) or lighter will love this as an uplifting everyday blush. Anyone with a darker skin tone is probably only going to be happy with this as a highlighter. As a bronzer I think you’d have to be very fair to see any results.

(FYI: Eye Shadow is the Bobbi Brown Nude Glow Eyeshadow Palette in Nude, lips are MAC Carnal Instinct Lipstick with MAC Hell Bound Lipglass on top. Reviews coming soon).

Tell me how you feel about fashion designers dabbling in beauty in the comments below!

The Tory Burch Divine Bronzer, Blush & Highlighter Palette retails for $48.00 and is a Nordstrom exclusive.
