Neutral for days. I know people are all for something different, some color, some variation…. and that’s cool and all… but I love, love, LOVE neutral collections. Why? because that’s generally what I wear. My day-to-day is very minimal and quickly applied. The MAC x Ellie Goulding Collection was basically made with people like me in mind, even though it’s all about that Ellie.
This collection features two kits, lots of lips, naughty eyes and demure lashes. I have a several pieces to share with you today as well as my wishlist for when the collection launches!
Halcyon Days Full Face Kit ($44.00). In this kit you’ll get Root Cream Colour Base (red taupey brown w/shimmer), Tint Cream Colour Base (soft peachy brown w/shimmer), Wished I Stayed Cream Colour Base (light cream pearl), Every Time You Go Cream Colour Base (creamy peachy pink) and Medium Dark Blot Pressed Powder (medium dark). If you’re a fan of the MAC CCB you’ll live for this kit. I use the pressed powder as an all over eye shade because it’s too dark for me to use alone. There is also a Halcyon Nights Kit available which contains four eye shadows and one CCB.
Without Your Love Lipstick ($18.00). Without Your Love is described as a warm seashell pink and has a cremesheen finish. It’s my MLBB (my lips but better) shade. Right up there in the favorites area with Patisserie. I love cremesheens because they’re pigmented enough, glossy and comfortable to wear. There is also another lipstick called Only You, which is a muted mid-tone coral cremesheen.
Goodness Gracious Plushglass ($21.00). Goodness Gracious is described as a creamy pinky peach. I feel like with Plushglass I hear people say they LOVE it or they HATE it. I personally have always loved it. It feels fabulous and amps up the glossy factor of any lip. One other shade is also available called Explosion, which is a warm light golden shimmer. One other shade is available in Revved Up, which is a creamy peach.
Innocent Patent Polish Lip Pencil ($21.00). Innocent is described as a nude beige. Patent Polish Lip Pencils are my everything. I love how they apply and feel, plus they look awesome on the lips. This one is pretty sheer, but that type of shade is perfect when you have no mirror available and need to get your lips spiffed up.
30 Lash ($17.00 // Nordstrom). This is a set of individual lashes that comes in three sizes to perfectly customize your lash look. Sometimes these are easier to use, especially if your eye shape likes to fight a full strip of lashes, which I feel like mine do lol This collection also features one other set in 20 lash.
When this collection launches I’m picking up the 217 brush (probably along with everyone else in the world), Halcyon Nights and I’ll Hold My Breath Powder Blush Duo. I expect these items to sell out the quickest along with the lipsticks!

I couldn’t get excited for this one, it’s just way to geared to warm tones, I know that’s 85% of people but it’s always an instant turn off.
