Recently I was contacted to do a sponsored Instagram post for the new Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara. Being that I have really good luck with Maybelline mascaras I decided to go for it. Then, even though it wasn’t a part of the sponsored terms, I decided to also share this mascara on my blog because (a) I loved it and (b) I really liked all of the random photos I decided to take of it.

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara is the latest mascara from the brand that is said to give bold volume yet still achieve that soft, separated lash look coat after coat. This mascara features a “creamy and whipped formula enriched with coconut extract”.

As I already spoiled in the first paragraph of this blog post I love this mascara! I generally do have really good experiences with mascaras from Maybelline but I think this one is my new favorite of them all, yes I love it even more than Colossal Big Shot!
I have the shade in Blackest Black and I love how dark it is when it’s on and how well it volumizes without clumping like crazy. If you’ve been around here for awhile you know I have those annoying criss-cross lashes when, under the wrong mascara formula, they can just completely stick together and make it look like I have NO lashes at all. I don’t mind some sticking, because I love the thickening effect of it, but sometimes it’s just out of hand. That is not the case with Maybelline Total Temptation.
With each coat the mascara glides on nicely without that sticky, velcro feeling that I’ve experienced with some other mascara formulas. As for the coconut extract there is a very slight scent to this mascara but you aren’t going to notice it unless you’re looking for it and I don’t find that it bothers my sensitive, contact lens wearing eyes at all.
Maybelline recommended curling your lashes before applying but I always skip that step because my lashes already have a slight curl. I found that this mascara gave a good lift, good curl and excellent volume. I’m really impressed and can absolutely recommend it.
